Shirsasana– Headstand

Regarded as ‘King’ of the estimated 84000 different Yoga postures. Slows rate of respiration and heartbeat, increases supply of oxygen to the brain, improves disorders of the nerves, eyes, ears, nose & throat, gives relief for varicose veins, memory, concentration and intellect are increased.
   
   
Halasan- The Plough Pose

A forward bending position which stretches the entire spine nourishing the nervous system, internal organs are massaged relieving indigestion, constipation and insomnia.
 
 
Sarvangasan- The Shoulder Stand

Chin pressing on the throat, the thyroid gland is massaged and regulated as this asana brings a rich blood supply to the thyroid, so it actively regulates the body's metabolism, heat production, weight problems (under or over), skin becomes soft, helps to cure insomnia and depression.
   
   
Matsyasan- The Fish Pose

Removes stiffness from the cervical, thoracic and lumber regions. A rounded shoulder is corrected, increases lung capacity, relieves spasm in bronchial tube and relieves asthma.
   
 
 
Paschimottan asana-Forward Bend

Stretches the whole backside and reduces stomach fat. Gives massage to internal organs while breathing.
   
   
Bhujangasan-Cobra Pose

Gives backward bend to the spine therefore relieves hunchback, back pain, lumbago, asthma and other respiratory problems, nerves and muscles of the spine are rejuvenated. Very powerful for women, the ovaries and uterus are toned, relives menstrual problems etc.
   
 
 
Shalabhasan- The Intermediate Locust Pose

Removes lower back pain and sciatica; aids in digestion; internal organs especially the kidney, pancreas and liver are massaged.
   
   
Dhanurasan-Bow Pose

Flexibility is brought to the whole spine: cervical, thoracic, lumber, sacral. Useful in aiding chronic constipation; dyspepsia; removes sluggishness of the liver and gastro-intestinal disorders. Regulates pancreas, good for diabetic people. Fat is removed. Ossification of bones is prevented.
   
 
 
Ardha Matsyendrasan- The Half Spinal Twist

Increases elasticity of the spine; increases supply of blood and appetite; gives relief from rheumatic joints; stimulates liver, large intestine and sweat glands; has overall beneficial effect on the gall bladder, spleen, kidneys and bowels.
   
   
Kakasan – The Crow Pose

Strengthens arms, wrists and shoulders; increases breathing capacity; increases concentration, promotes physical and mental balance; removes lethargy.
   
 
 
Pada Hastasan – Hands to Feet Pose

Invigorates the entire nervous system; increases the blood supply to the brain, adipose tissue on the abdomen will disappear, complete stretch is given to the hamstring muscle and lower body is stretched.
   
   
Trikona Asana- Triangle Pose

Tones the spinal nerves and abdominal organs, increases peristalsis movement of the digestive track.
