The Aatmadarshan Yoga Tradition

Aatmadarshan Yoga tradition developed by Dr. Mala Singh, is based on Patanjali’s “Yoga Sutra” in which the journey of self relaization starts with yama, niyama, asanas, pranayama, pratyahara, dhyana, dharana and samadhi. First four should be practiced in daily life. The combination of further three is called Meditation, after that one falls into samadhi.

With its motto “KNOW THYSELF”, Aatmadarshan Yoga lays stress on practicing asana, pranayama and meditation all together to realize one’s inner self by recognizing body first then the mind and finally the spirit. One has to travel within the deeper self layer by layer through asanas, pranayamas and meditation. When one recognizes the self through asanas and pranayama, one is able to understand others and the surroundings leading to better performance. Aatmadarshan Yoga strives to unite when the body, mind and spirit without any stress, to experienced / bliss.
