Aatmadarshan Yoga & Philosophy Foundation, co-founded
by Dr. Mala Singh, aims to promote research, study and
dissemination of authentic knowledge and practice of Yoga,
Vedic sciences, Ayurveda, Naturopathy, and Astrology.
The foundation’s objectives are to establish, acquire,
run, aid, assist, finance and maintain Yoga Centres, Naturopathy
& Ayurvedic research study centers/ health care centres,
schools, orphanages, and old age Homes.
The Foundations welcomes like minded people to aid and
contribute in any capacity to the aims and objectives
of the Foundation.
Dr. Mala Singh, a Ph.D in Philosophy from the Banaras
Hindu University, Varanasi, India, is a qualified Yoga
Teacher – YOGA Shiromani from the world renowned
Sivananda International Yoga Vedanta Centre, Neyyar Dam,
Trivandrum, Kerala. She has studied, practiced and taught
yoga in Trivandrum, Australia, Delhi and other cities.
Dr. Mala holds regular workshops in Schools, Madarsas,
Jails & villages to disseminate the knowledge of yoga
The Aatmadarshan
Yoga Tradition
Aatmadarshan Yoga tradition developed
by Dr. Mala Singh, is based on Patanjali’s
“Yoga Sutra” in which the journey
of self relaization starts with yama, niyama, asanas,
pranayama, pratyahara, dhyana, dharana and samadhi. First
four should be practiced in daily life. The combination
of further three is called Meditation, after that one
falls into samadhi.
With its motto “KNOW THYSELF”,
Aatmadarshan Yoga lays stress on practicing asana, pranayama
and meditation all together to realize one’s inner
self by recognizing body first then the mind and finally
the spirit. One has to travel within the deeper self layer
by layer through asanas, pranayamas and meditation. When
one recognizes the self through asanas and pranayama,
one is able to understand others and the surroundings
leading to better performance. Aatmadarshan Yoga strives
to unite when the body, mind and spirit without any stress,
to experienced / bliss.
Aatmadarshan Yoga classes are designed in the pure holistic
form, incorporating yogic breathing techniques, yoga stretches,
yoga asanas, progressive relaxation through yoga nidra
and meditation in a comfortable rhythmic flow to stimulate
the pranic shakti and balance the entire body, mind and
spirit. Any individual can safely practice yoga with correct
guidance, irrespective of age, physical strength, and
flexibility or belief system. Regular classes are available
at 3 levels – Beginners, Intermediate & Advanced.
The Foundation provides special lessons for children &
teenagers for increasing concentration, rejuvenation,
mental health & emotional stability. Therapeutic yoga
lessons are provided for treatment of ailments like high
blood pressure, anxiety, heart disease, diabetes, insomnia,
back pain, arthritis, asthma, sinus and migraine.
Especially designed Executive Stress Management Yoga Therapy
(ESMYT) programme developed by Dr. Mala
Singh aims at prevention and management of executive stress
to achieve a balanced and healthy body, mind and spirit.
Practicing ESMYT releases stress and
tension, increases energy levels, strength and flexibility
and creates a feeling of peaceful well being, Stimulation
and balancing the pranic flow through ESMYT
results in a healthy body, mind and spirit. ESMYT
utilizes the 3 basic principles of yoga - relaxation of
all groups of muscles, proper breathing and calming of
the mind to achieve holistic health for executives, which
in turn leads to increase in overall organizational productivity.
